Washington DC Day 5

Washington DC Day 5

So on my final day in DC I went to some of  the final places I didn’t get to go before.  In the morning, which was more like after noon since it was around 11am, I went back to the Holocaust Museum, but the line very long and I didn’t want to wait it in so I tried to go to the Bureau of Printing and Engraving but they were also out of tickets.  So instead, I went over to the Smithsonian – American History Museum.  This place was really neat and covered many eras of American culture and events.  After that, I went over to the National Archives and viewed the Declatration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and Constitution.  It was super cool to see in person but don’t expect to be able to read it too well.  The ink was almost completely faded.  After that I walked over and found a place called Pi and had a small pepperoni pizza and just relaxed.  By this point I was too tired to sight see anymore.  So after I went home to take a nap.

For Dinner we went to this pie place.  Now this place is tiny, but open late and a big hit around that neighborhood.  They have all kinds of pie, sweet and savory pies.  I ordered the BBQ Pork Pie, which was literally one of the most amazing things.  Think of a pulled pork burger but in a pie.  They wasted no space when packing this pie either.  It was HEAVY and freaking so delicious.  I also had gotten the Sweet Potato Pie which was also pretty darn good.  All in all, I was super super stuffed from eating all that pie, but it made for a great way to end the night and overall stay in DC.

This place is filled with so much history, potential, and relevance, I find that it would be pretty awesome place to live!
