“Geothermal Valley (地熱谷), also called Hell Valley, it is located at a valley near the end of Zhongshan Road on the left-hand side next to Qinshui Park. This is one of the most famous spots in Beitou, a natural sulfur hot spring where water temperatures can reach 100°C (212°F). CLOSED MONDAYS.” (Wikipage)
Transportation: The Geothermal Spring is easily accessible from the Pink Line MRT Stop Xinbeitou (新北投. You must transfer from Beitou (北投) Red Line to Pink Line. From there you can easily walk along the street to the spring.
Cost: FREE!
Facilities: At the Spring itself which is quite small I do not remember seeing any restrooms. But their is a small souvenir shop, be sure to get your stamps if you collect them.
Note: I recommend doing this stop along with other things as the spring is relatively small and doesn’t take more than 10 minute to “take in.” On this stop I went to Puji Temple (普濟寺) and the Ketagalan Cultural Center. (Links Soon).
