Zoo Bar & Bistro is a quite little bar right next to Taipower Building (台電大樓） MRT Station.  We brought a group of five and it was one seat more than could easily sit around the table pictured above.

Their menu is on the wall as pictured.  Most cocktails and drinks were under NT$200.

They had music playing all in English and I think the owner was the one we ordered drinks from and he spoke English.  The bar is relatively dark, each table had an electric candle but not a bright environment.  The mood lighting was pretty neat and gave this place a pretty cool atmosphere.

Price:  Prices seemed relatively similar to most bars thus far.  I would say a glass of French Red Wine was NT$180.  The Gin & Tonic was NT$120.  I believe all the drinks ordered were below NT$225.

Drink Selection: They had everything from Cocktails, Beers, Cobata (whatever that is?), Wine, and Soda.

Food: We did not order any.  Just be aware that their food menu is strictly in Chinese.

Facilities:  I did not use the facilities at this location, but none of my friends complained so I figure they must be up to public/restaurant standard.  Sorry I always forget to check it out…

Verdict: So far so lucky with all the places we have tried.  I with the selection was a bit more, or at least things maybe with English descriptions would make ordering a lot easier.  They didn’t really boast about special drinks.  One thing that was nice, they definitely did not water down the drinks.  So in the end I’d say go for a regular priced drinks, it suitable for conversation, but not for “drinking.”
